Llangollen Illuminated Tractor Run
Tractors start to muster at Llangollen Pavilion from 3.30pm to leave for the main street (Castle Street) in Llangollen at 5.00pm to drive Fron, Chirk, St Martins, Overton, Ruabon, Trevor and back to Llangollen. The public will be welcome to walk (free of charge) around the illuminated tractors standing on the road around the Pavilion until its time for the tractors to leave at 5.00pm.
The route
We have partnered with the Llangollen & District Young Farmers Association to organise the Llangollen Illuminated Tractor Run in December to put smiles on peoples faces in Llangollen and other villages on the route in December.
The route will start through Llangollen, a circular route via Chirk, St Martins and Ruabon and return to Llangollen taking in as many villages as we can. Short stop over at St Martins School carpark for people and kids to walk around the tractors and get their photo taken with our Santa so bring some cash for our bucket collection please.
Entry rules for Illuminated Tractor Run:-

This event is for tractors only - including vintage tractors.

No trailers, or sharp or pointed attachments

£20 per tractor entry fee paid via the Just Giving page (add name please)

One entry form per tractor

Tractor must be road legal and insured

Driver must be licenced

Tractor to be festooned in fairy lights please ......
£20 entry fee per tractor (fee includes a bacon butty and a tea/coffee for the driver prior to the start)

Children's ride on tractor competition
We will be having a free entry Children's Illuminated Ride-On Toy competition on our Facebook page.
All you have to do is take a photo of your child(under 15) sat on their Illuminated Ride-On Toy and submit it to our Facebook page and our trophy sponsor will pick the winner and the child (under 15) will be awarded a small trophy ........

TIMETABLE
3.30pm – Tractors arrive at Llangollen Pavilion decorated and ready for viewing and judging
4.50pm – Drivers briefing
5.00pm – Tractors leave Pavilion grounds and set off on the Run
5.30pm – (5 miles) Arrive and travel through Froncysyllte
5.50pm – (3.3 miles) Arrive and travel through Chirk
6.05pm – (1.3 miles) Pass Dobies Garden Centre
6.15pm - (1.2 miles) Arrive and stop at St Martin’s School car park
6.30pm - Leave School car park
6.55pm – (5.6 miles) Arrive in and travel through Overton
7.20pm – (5.2 miles) Arrive in and travel through Ruabon
7.40pm – (2.6 miles) Arrive in and travel through Trevor
8.00pm – (4 miles) Arrive back at Llangollen Pavilion
These times are approximations based upon average speeds of some of the vehicles

TRACKER
We will also be aiming to have a tracker with Santa so you can follow him and know when he is getting close to you. The link will be published on our Tractor Facebook page at 4.45pm. The link relies on a mobile signal! If we loose signal we will try any to remake the link and publish the new link on Tractor Facebook page.
